In 2009 The International SPICE Days announces the First International SPICE Days Student Awards. We look for graduate or postgraduate students in computing, engineering, economy, business, social science or related subjects.
A jury will judge the submissions. The authors of the three best submissions will be awarded a prize of euro 1000 each and invited to attend the conference and present a summary of their work!
Keynote Speakers:
Dave Thomas of Bedarra Labs, founder of what became IBM OTI Labs, on the (agile) future of embedded software development, and Mike Hinchey, Co-Director of Lero, the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre, formerly Director of the Software Engineering Laboratory at NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre. His topic will centre on evolving critical systems. Discussions with these presenters on the implications for ISO 15504 and the user community - now and in the future promise - to be very interesting indeed.
